I really don't know how I could think this was acceptable for even a second. Mai's head looks deformed. o_O; I'd still like to redraw the one that went up because of lack of background/detail, but it's still ten times better than this horror. The only positive I can see is that in the second panel Mai's expression is about what I wanted while in the final version I don't think I captured it properly.
